Susan and Gio’s Sunset Ranch, Hawaii wedding
When Susan was initially planning her wedding she wanted something small and intimate with just a few people. But as planning progressed she realized she wanted to have all of her beloved friends and family in attendance. The couple both come from large families so it was important to them for their love and their day to be centered around family and celebration.
The ceremony started off with a sweet and tearful entrance as Susan’s brother David walked her down the aisle. The two share a closeness that anybody around them can tell immediately. Susan held back her tears as she faced Gio at the alter and shared a heartfelt kiss in front of all their guests before heading to the reception.
One of my favorite parts about the wedding was the lively spirit of Susan and Gio’s friends and family as they stepped onto the dance floor. Their proud Mexican heritage was evident as they moved their bodies and souls to the music. One of the bridesmaids turned to me and said “This is what a Mexican wedding is like!” I told her that I hope I get the opportunity to photograph more because it is an absolute blast. I even took a moment to join in and learn a few salsa moves from the guests. It was a truly beautiful and fun event for Susan and Gio with their dear friends and family. Thank you both for allowing me to capture this special day and for making me feel like part of your ohana. Events like these are what make me love being a Hawaii Wedding Photographer!
